Register now to attend the 3rd International Workshop of Polar Educators International (PEI) that will be held from the 11 to the 14 of April 2017 in Rovereto, Trento Italy. The main venue is the high school, Liceo Fabio Filzi located in the center of this northeastern Italian town.
The workshop aims to gather the international community of polar educators together with scientists in an intensive 4-day workshop to share the best research and education practices in the field of polar science. This unique conference provides the opportunity for face-to-face collaboration among key players in polar research, communication and education communities.
The outcome of the conference will be a statement to the endeavors of increasing awareness and interest in polar science knowledge and career pathways through a growing PEI membership; to inform and inspire a future generation of polar researchers and educators.
The program is made of keynote speeches of scientists and educators, as well as oral, poster and hands-on sessions. The objective is to spread first-hand polar scientific and education experiences to science teachers in order to allow them to bring it directly to their classrooms. Side events includes a polar dinner, a polar fun-run, a field trip with scientific guides and events organized by polar Italian and German high school students.
Registration is open to a maximum of 40 registered participants selected in the order in which fees are received.
