An important part of our job as scientists is communicating our research and its importance to others. Science communication takes place on many levels: there are well established methods for sharing our research with our peers and with the broader scientific community, such as publications, conference presentations, posters, etc. Our ways of communicating with the general public, decision makers, teachers and students are typically less formalised, however this type of communication is essential for the greater impact of our research.
